I’m a photographer in West Seattle, WA. This blog is a sampler of my work; comments on topics that interest me; and occasionally a rant or two. The majority of the images are taken with Nikon’s, most recently the D700 and older posts with the D200.
I’m a self taught photographer and have been taking pictures actively since 2006. I’ve learned by trial and error. I always find a bit of wonder when I later see the images I capture. I have sufficient happy accidents to keep me going out and trying it again. As of Nov, 09, I’ve now been blogging for over a year. Comments would be most welcome and feel free to rate the images. Although I’m no “expert” I’ll happily answer questions if asked.

Hi Gilles,
I read you entry on George Barr’s blog.
You will not be disappointed with the book “Criticizing Photographs” as it covers the subject in considerable depth. My copy is now getting a bit dog eared as I refer to it a great deal.
Another book I have is ” The TAO of Photography (Seeing Beyond Seeing ) ISBN 1-58008-194-0. It is a very interesting read.
Now that I have located your site I will have to find time to read more of you articles. Good Luck and good light.
