It was almost too much to believe. During our visit to the Cascade Raptor Center we saw over 50 raptors including this peregrine falcon with her volunteer handler. Then the next day, while biking on the river bank trail in Eugene, I spotted something landing off in the distance in a tree. My sister and I both noticed it, but it really didn’t connect at first. A few minutes later as we continued on the trail, we both noticed the bird appeared to be tearing at something so I pulled the binoculars out and sure enough, Peregrine Falcon! It had caught a bird, and was eating in a tree nearby. We both marvelled at how we had just learned about these birds the day before, and without that visit to the center, we would not have know what it was.
