More Cherry Blossoms

I diverted from my usual walk today and headed over to Bainbridge Island’s Battle Point Park.  It was another great early spring day.  Today I did some more multiple exposures but also did some straight photography.  I was working with an old Mamiya medium format lens, the 120mm f4 macro adapted to the Nikon D700.  This lens is a mixed blessing.  It’s great as a 1:4 macro, but it’s also a manual focus lens so it requires patience to make a good image.  The blue sky studded with white clouds formed a great backdrop so with lot’s of light I dialed the exposure down to f11-16 and kept some of the form of the clouds behind the cherry branches.
